Food Processor Biscuits
Makes about 50 treats with a bone shaped cutter.
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 1/3 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup vegetable oil
- In small bowl whisk water and eggs together and set aside.
- In the bowl of a food processor, equipped with steel blade, add flour, cheese, garlic and vegetable oil. Pulsate about 5 seconds. Scrape sides of the bowl. Pulsate another 5 seconds. Mixture should have the texture of coarse meal.
- With machine running, drizzle in egg & water combination until dough forms a ball.
- Divide dough into 2 balls, so it is easy to work with.
- Knead one ball of dough at a time on a floured surface, about 3 minutes.
- Use a rolling pin to roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
- Cut with any cookie cutter and place on a baking sheet , lined with foil.
- Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees F. Remove from oven and carefully turn each biscuit over. Continue baking another 10 minutes.
- Thoroughly cool on a rack. Then store at room temperature in a container with a loose-fitting lid
